The most critical decision for a newly engaged couple is the venue.   Finding the right venue that you can see yourself walking down the aisle is huge. Take into consideration the key points to your search.
Number of guest
Making sure the venue can hold the amount of guest you are planning. Must find out is that number is including staff.
Budget
Determining the cost of the overall wedding should be planned out first.
Venue 16%
Rentals 11%
Dj/Band 6%
Photography 16%
food & drink 45%
Flowers 6%
Ambiance
Your venue Should fit your wedding vision. Being outside can be really Elegant, Rustic or even Themed. Outside also you don't NEED a lot of decorations (& that is coming from a wedding decorator :) Your guest feel more relaxed at an outside venue as well.
Nearby Hotels & Attractions
Choosing a venue that has hotels close by for your out of town guest Is important. Also having a list of things for them to do while staying. Putting a list together in your invitations along with Hotel Is always a great idea.
Policies
Always read each venues policies before you book. Some venues have rules that you don't want to miss. Candles are often not allowed. Only using their preferred vendor list. Just to name a few.
Make sure that you read & understand. If not always ask questions.

Finding your perfect venue!

There are many things that need to go into looking for the perfect venue. The number 1 thing that you need to consider is, Can I see myself walking down the aisle to the one I love. You must also take into consideration as to what the venue includes for the cost.

-Do they include set up and take down?

-How long do I have the space for?

-Do they include bathrooms?

-Do they include Bridal suite?

-What about trash? Do I need to take care of that?

-Is there someone on site to ask question or help out?

The cost of a venue is so much more than a place to hold your wedding or event. In order for a venue to be functional you have to have staff to be able to make it run smoothly. A cleaning crew to Keep it clean. A landscaper to make sure the grounds look beautiful. There's so many things that come into play when looking for that venue. Yes there are cheaper ways to go in about doing a wedding say in a public park, or a backyard. There are pros & cons to every venue, every back yard or public park. Make a list.

Last but not least. Having your venue is a lot less stressful. Having some place where you have someone to take care of the property, take out the trash setup & take down. Someone to be there to fluff your dress before you walk down the Aisle.

Congratulations on your Engagement!!!!

NOW WHAT?

First take a deep breathto figure out what you really want. One of the most common mistakes I see is brides jumping into the planning stage before they know what they really want.

There are 3 primary factors that will determine how your wedding will look & feel. First is the budget. You need to sit down with your family and future spouse to decide on what the overall budget will be. No worries, there are some great ways to stretch your budget to get your dream wedding. Second is the venue. Your venue must be where you can see yourself walking down the aisle. Third is the dress. Yes, I said that correctly the dress. The dress will determine the overall look to your big day from general themes ranging from rustic to elegance and specifics such as colors/textures.

Planning a wedding can be stressful and expensive, but with a little initial preparation it doesn't have to be.

Layouts

Along with many tent sizes we can do custom tent layouts as well. You could choose 1 tent or many. Our program will allow us to create the best flow of your wedding. Tents not only crate shade for a warm day but also lets your guest know where the main part of your reception. This will encourage your guest to not miss anything.

Outdoor Wedding Tips:
Here are some tips to help you plan your special day:

  1. Plan for the worst and hope for the best. If you are worried it is going to be overly hot on your big day, plan like it is going to be overly hot and you won't have any surprises. The same goes for rain. If you are worried it might rain, plan for it to rain by getting a tent and hope that it doesn't. Nobody likes a surprise on their wedding day!
  2.  Plan on having some photos before your ceremony. Try not to wait to have them all taken after the ceremony. Usually guests attending a wedding will be patient and ok waiting for 30-45 minutes after the ceremony for photos, but any longer than that, they might start to leave before even seeing you. So do some beforehand such as your bridals and the family photos on each side if possible.
  3. Bring sunscreen and bug spray. You might not need either of them, but it is better to be prepared just in case.
  4. An outdoor wedding is a completely different experience than an indoor wedding. At an outdoor wedding things are constantly growing and colors and plants are changing so keep that in mind when planning your decor. Do something neutral that will go with whatever the landscaping decides to do.
  5. Keep your cake cool. Cakes are known to melt in the hot Summer heat so save yourself some heartache and keep it in a nice cool place until the reception begins.
